How you make sure YOU win in the investment – not the bank
December 20, 2018 | Digital Asset Management
Wealthy clients often believe banks to be the best contact for their investments. Every investor should have become aware that this is not the case since the onset of the financial crisis. Because the aim of banking advice is to earn as much money as possible from customers.
As a result of increasing legislative regulation and the involvement of innovative, new competitors from the Fintech sector, the margins for the bank are becoming smaller and smaller. As a result, individual bank advisors are made responsible for generating as much income as possible for the bank – with and through their customers. For this reason, investors are often recommended expensive bank products.
No hidden fees and commissions
The alternative to the bank is an independent asset manager or a family office. The bank plays the role of the processor. The funds are only held by the bank without the bank being able to sell a consulting service or use it for its own purposes. Since the asset manager acts jointly with the bank on behalf of all clients, he has the relevant negotiating power to significantly reduce fees. This in turn benefits all clients. Independent asset managers are not tied to product providers, insurance companies or banks. They are legally obliged to act solely in the interests of their clients. Hidden fees or commissions are eliminated comprehensively. An asset manager charges his clients a transparent administration fee, which is usually based on the assets to be managed.
